The Story So Far
After 6yrs at the famed Little Malop Street site, Workers has become adapt at residencies and pop ups while still on its search for a permanent home…
After taking over the Cafe | Diner | Bar space at Queens Park Golf Course for the majority of 2021, we then teamed up with Newton & Chilwell Cricket Club which lasted for the next 4 years. During this time Workers Barbecue also teamed up with Austin’s Winery for what Forte Magazine penned “The Collaboration of the year”! Our collaboration with Austin’s lasted for 6 months before we moved on to make way for other amazing pop ups. We purchased a trailer smoker and food van which is how our gypsy life began.
We have also had pop ups with East Geelong Bowls Club, Mt Pleasant Brewers, Bell Park Sports Club, Limeburners Bar and are currently collaborating with Martians Saloon for Dine In.
Since the addition of the marquee, trailer smoker and food van we have become quite well versed in off site functions and even catered our own wedding in 2024.

Yes! We love doing catering events and meeting new people. We cater a wide variety of events including weddings, corporate functions, bucks parties and birthdays.

The other side of the business, Spinning Half, is all things music, events and entertainment. We have sound equipment, artists, furniture, decorations, supplier lists, lawn games and more.
We can also assist in event planning.
